Dear Friend,

This is the day the Lord has made. I will choose to rejoice and be glad in it. Whatever trial or tribulation you may be encountering, I want to encourage you to Praise the Lord through it all and rejoice in Him. Rejoice in who He is and thank Him for what He promises.

You may not be seeing His promises in your situation. However, He is with you and calling you to keep your eyes fixed on Him and not on the circumstantial waves that surround.

Recipe Box

Italian Beef

1 Roast

1 Jar Peperoncini

1/2 Jar Jalapeno Peppers

Put all ingredients in slow cooker for 4-6 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low.

Simple Berry Smoothie

2 handfuls of frozen blueberries

2 handful of frozen whole strawberries

2 cups water

Blend and drink

Bustos Academy Closes our "Official" Doors

The Bustos Academy has ceased to operate as an official homeschool. The kids have all gone back to schools: two have gone to public and one has gone to private. However, life is a education and I cannot envision a time when I will not be teaching my kids in some capacity. Therefore, our "official" doors have closed but I shall continue to instruct and teach "unofficially" for many years to come.

Should a great idea or tip come my way, I will pass it on to you!

Room at the Table

Christianity is meant to be lived in community with other people. It isn't a religion where people live the life of hermits. God asks us to be in relationship with other believers. Often He uses the banquet table as a symbol of community.

We learn and grow from each other. As we all sit around the table talking together, there is understanding that is being deposited in each person that can only come from interacting with other believers. In some small way, this blog is a table for us to gather around and discuss heavenly things. I hope to walk away from it, having learned more about God's character from my brothers and sisters in the faith--from all different parts of the Body of Christ.
