Firmly Rooted and Surrounded

2012 has been one of the hardest years I have had to walk through--full of dark shadowy valleys that I could never have imagined.

And yet, I am still standing.

I am standing strong under His banner of unconditional love.

I am standing firm on a pile of waves that threatened to overtake and drown me-- destroying all I hold so dear.

I am standing because He holds me.

My eyes are firmly fixed on Him and I will not be detoured from His gaze.

He remains my one and only.

I will sing of His mercy

I will delight in the joy He brings

Should another dark year be on the horizon, I will not be moved.

 I am firmly rooted in His word and His Spirit surrounds me.
